The NVX Advantage:

 Flexibility:
NVX stranded wire is extremely tolerant of the rough conditions in vehicles and compensates for vibration, heat expansion and flexibility. This flexible but  well shielded wire is crucial for getting through all of the nooks and passage ways within the cramped confines of vehicle interiors.

 Cable Thickness:
The thickness of the actual wire, not the insulation, is critical when it comes to transferring the extraordinary current of your audio system. With hundreds   of strands of wire in one cable you get an increased current flow and a higher amperage carrying capacity with a reduced cable size.

 Insulation Material:
EnvyFlex insulation hinders electric current from exiting the wire prematurely which prevents electrocution and damage to components within the vehicle.  Additionally, the insulation maintains the flexibility of the wire while preventing corrosion and damage in the hostile vehicle environment.

 Bundled Copper Wires:
In an attempt to beef up their wires, some manufactures use all aluminum or mix copper and aluminum to give the appearance of a quality cable. NVX  wire is 100% oxygen free, silver tinned copper which reduces corrosion, increases current transfer, and won’t discolor the insulation of the wire.

 Weight:
NVX wire is hefty and strong, but not overly shielded to increase its weight. A quality cable just feels right with a perfect size to weight ratio that leaves it  easy to handle but rugged enough to perform its duties.

CEA-2015 Compliant

CEA-2015 Compliant:The mobile cabling logo indicates that a cable complies with CEA-2015, Mobile Electronics Cabling Standard. This standard defines size and performance requirements for power and speaker cabling used in mobile electronic applications, including reporting requirements for cables meeting the standard. Using the appropriate cable for mobile entertainment systems will ensure systems work properly and achieve maximum efficiency.

CEA-2015 is the third standard in a mobile electronics standards suite, which also includes CEA-2006, Testing and Measurements for Mobile Audio Amplifiers and CEA-2031, Testing and Measurement Methods for Mobile Loudspeaker Systems. CEA-2006 defines test procedures for rating the performance of mobile amplifiers and requirements for reporting the performance. CEA-2031 defines test procedures for rating the performance and physical size of mobile loudspeakers and requirements for reporting the performance.

When consumers use the information found with all three logos, they will be able to select mobile loudspeakers with power handling capabilities that are appropriate for the power output characteristics of their mobile amplifiers and they can select cables that will ensure efficiency and performance.

NVX Oxygen-Free Amplifier Installation Kits

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How does NVX power wire compare to competitors?
NVX power cable is made from 100% oxygen free, silver tinned copper wire which reduces corrosion and increases current transfer. NVX cable is composed of hundreds of strands of wire in one cable to increase current flow and higher amperage carrying capacity.

2. What is oxygen free copper and how does it benefit my electrical system?
Oxygen is bad for things made from copper. It will over time oxidize and turn green and flaky, which will reduce the conductivity significantly. Oxygen free copper will rapidly slow the corrosion process, which will increase the life of the cable.

3. What could happend if I run power wire that is too small for my amplifier?
When you use power wire that doesn’t match the specifications of your audio equipment, you could potentially create unnecessary resistance which can strain your electrical system for power.

4. What is the "Big Three" upgrade and how will it help my electrical?
Your vehicles wiring system was designed to work with stock electrical equipment. Any audio system over 600 watts RMS may cause issues such as light dimming and voltage drops. An easy way to improve the performance of your electrical system is to upgrade the “Big Three” power and ground cables. The following three cables are considered the “Big Three”: (1) Alternator positive cable to the battery positive (2) Negative battery cable to the vehicle ground (3) Engine ground to the vehicle chassis
